‘Beware the Batman’ is Pulled from Cartoon Network’s Schedule

Comics Alliance reached out to Cartoon Network to ask about the fate of the DC Nation show Beware the Batman.

Cartoon Network responded with this dire news:

Currently, Beware the Batman is no longer on our air. DC Nation will continue on Saturday mornings at 10/9c with new exclusive shorts and a full hour of encore episodes of Teen Titans Go!

To fans of previous DC Nation shows Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice this comes as an unwelcome case of deja vu, as Cartoon Network pulled both of those shows unexpectedly and without explanation. For both of those shows they at least go to air the final episodes in their seasons. For Beware the Batman, Cartoon Network’s comment to Comics Alliance doesn’t offer any hope of that.

HOWEVER, Anthony Ruivivar, the actor who voices Batman, tweeted that new episodes will air in January…

At this point its hard to know exactly what will happen. I’m hoping we will at least get to see the final episodes that make up the first season; however, the writing is on the wall, there will not be a second season.

Its all rather disappointing as Beware the Batman was finally hitting its stride.
